Formulated with nourishing Bolivian pink salt granules that exfoliate gently and dissolve fully in water, it has a delicately grainy texture and whipped lather that together lift buildup, remove impurities and polish skin for a comfortable, balanced feeling. 

With each cleanse, skin becomes clean and hydrated, giving your roots room to breathe—and in turn adding volume—so your strands come away feeling cleaner than ever. Nothing is stripped or left dry, but no leftover residue remains either: just a well-hydrated, silky-soft sensation, all the way from deep in the root to the end of each strand.

How to Use

Your hair’s needs will vary depending on type—swap your shampoo for The Cleansing Scrub about once a week for an extra deep clean. If once weekly feels like too much or not enough, you can do this less frequently or as needed. Finish with The Renewal Mask or The Ritual Conditioner for the ultimate all around treatment. 

Start with about a quarter-sized amount of The Cleansing Scrub, which should be just enough to cover your scalp. Apply directly to the scalp, and then massage with the pads of your fingers—not your nails—in a circular motion to stimulate the flow of blood and promote healthy growth. Do this as gently as possible, and as always, be careful with your strands (they’re delicate!). No need to use The Cleansing Scrub anywhere but your scalp. The texture can be a bit rough for your ends, and when you rinse out the lather, it’ll wash through the rest of your hair, leaving it just as clean as you need it to be.

Bolivian Pink Salt

Harvested from ancient volcanic rock in the Andes Mountains, this crystal rock salt is highly nourishing and mineral rich. It’s full of an array of other essential minerals, too, like Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, and Iron. Our formula is made using extra fine granules for a gentle, non-abrasive exfoliation that penetrates through to the scalp and rinses away completely with almost no effort at all.

Coconut-Derived

Surfactants Traditional cleansing products rely on harsh chemicals and sulfates like SLS that strip your strands, resulting in an overproduction of oils over time. Instead, The Cleansing Scrub uses a naturally-derived, coconut-based surfactant system. These surfactants are eco-friendly and gentle on the skin, with a high-foaming lather so you can use less—with better results.
